Services Provided

Suitable ethical and ecological community investment schemes for our members.

Members whose investments support the Phoenix Shop through the Ecovillage share issue will receive discounts on purchases made there.

A local currency scheme that provides support for local charities and businesses.

Advice for local businesses and organisations, and for other intentional communities.

Ekopia is a founder member of the Development Trust Association Scotland and a member of the New Findhorn Association (NFA) and Co-operatives UK. The NFA is the facilitating body for the intentional community located in West Moray.

Changes to the Ekopia Rules in 2006 led to Ekopia becoming officially registered as a 'rural housing body' with the Scottish Executive. This will allow us to promote ecological development of the Park and affordable housing through a new project, Park Ecovillage Development Ltd, a subsidiary of Ekopia.

The Title Holders Association (THA), which organises various Park based actvities such as infrastructure payments from property owners, is a division of Ekopia. The THA makes a contribution to Ekopia's general overheads.

“This community is a place of transformation, not only for the individuals who come here but also as an ever-evolving experiment in community living.”
