ecological community investment schemes for our members.
Members whose investments support the Phoenix Shop through the Ecovillage
share issue will receive discounts on purchases made there.
A local currency scheme that provides support for local charities and
businesses.
Advice for local businesses and organisations, and for other intentional
communities.
Ekopia is a founder member of the Development Trust Association Scotland
and a member of the New Findhorn Association (NFA) and Co-operatives UK.
The NFA is the facilitating body for the intentional community located
in West Moray.
Changes to the Ekopia Rules in 2006 led to Ekopia becoming
officially registered as a 'rural housing body' with the Scottish Executive.
This will allow us to promote ecological development of the Park and affordable
housing through a new project, Park Ecovillage Development Ltd, a subsidiary
of Ekopia.
The Title Holders Association (THA), which organises various Park based
actvities such as infrastructure payments from property owners, is a division
of Ekopia. The THA makes a contribution to Ekopia's general overheads.
