Here is a summary of our investment opportunities.

1. Phoenix Investment
Minimum of £500 for five years. 5% interest per annum plus 5% discount on purchases made in the shop. Classified as medium high risk as the security is essentially the ability of the company to trade successfully. Funds are now routed via the 'Ecovillage Investment' issue (see below).

2. Findhorn Foundation/NFD Ltd. Investment
Minimum of £1,000 for a minimum period of one year. Three months notice required for a withdrawal. 4% interest per annum.
Classified as medium low risk as the charity and/or its wholly owned trading subisidiary company NFD is able to provide Ekopia with a security over a marketable building.

3. Findhorn Wind Park Investment
Funds are routed via the 'Ecovillage Investment' issue (see below). Classified as medium high risk as the security is essentially the ability of the company to trade successfully.

4. Ecovillage Investment
Ekopia is seeking investment funds from members and friends of the Community to be directed into the Ecovillage project in general. Money raised by Ekopia will be re-invested in various projects forming part of the Ecovillage Project. These currently include Phoenix Community Stores Ltd, Findhorn Foundation, NFD Ltd., Newbold House and Findhorn Wind Park Ltd.

We expect to add others to the portfolio in the near future. There are three separate Ecovillage investment options, all of which will attract a variable rate of return. Details on application.

5. Affordable Housing
We may also launch a share issue to support the provision of affordable housing via a shared ownership scheme. This is currently under investigation and further details are available on application.

Please Note: Ekopia investments require a one off £50 lifetime membership. The maximum amount any individual can invest in an Industrial and Provident Society is limited by UK legislation to £20,000.
